How to Write AI Video Prompts
Learn how to write AI video prompts with one subject, one action and one camera movement. Adapt the video prompt examples for products, people and landscapes.
Updated October 13, 2026Start with a single shot
A short generation benefits from a brief that can fit into one shot. Describe the subject, the action and the setting before adding style. For example: a ceramic teapot sits on a wooden table as steam rises in soft morning light. This gives the model a concrete scene. Asking for several locations, costume changes and a full story within a short clip can make the result harder to control.
Make camera movement explicit
Choose one camera instruction, such as a slow push toward the subject or a gentle orbit around a product. Pair it with one visible action. Avoid stacking conflicting instructions like a locked camera and a rapid handheld zoom. If the scene is already complex, try a fixed viewpoint first. Review the result for subject consistency, motion and composition before changing the brief.
Match the frame to the destination
For a vertical short, choose 9:16 when the selected model supports it. Keep the important subject near the center and leave space for captions you may add later in your editing software. Use the duration and resolution options actually available in the studio. A prompt saying “4K” does not override the output resolution selected in the controls.
If you need image references or specific framing controls, compare video model inputs and settings before adapting your prompt.
Video prompt examples to adapt
Copy a template below, then replace the subject, setting or light to suit your idea. Choose the actual aspect ratio, duration and resolution in the studio controls. These are creative briefs, not promises of an identical result.
Product showcase
An unbranded ceramic teapot sits on a pale wooden table beside a linen cloth. A thin stream of steam rises from the spout. Soft window light from the left, warm neutral colors, realistic ceramic texture. The camera slowly pushes closer in one continuous shot. Keep the teapot fully in frame. No titles, captions or logos.
Character action
An adult cyclist in a plain blue jacket stands beside a bicycle on a quiet park path. The cyclist lifts one hand and waves toward the camera. Soft overcast daylight, natural colors, realistic motion. A fixed medium-wide camera keeps the face, waving hand and bicycle visible in one continuous shot. No cuts, titles or logos.
Landscape scene
A small wooden cabin stands beside a still mountain lake at sunrise. A thin layer of mist drifts slowly over the water. Warm light touches the roof while the mountains remain cool blue. The camera makes a gentle forward move, keeping the cabin and its reflection in frame throughout one continuous shot. No people, titles or logos.
Improve one variable at a time
If the motion feels too busy, simplify the action before changing the entire style. If the composition is wrong, adjust the framing or try a permitted reference image on a model that supports it. Keep notes on which change helped. The homepage samples include editable prompts, but generated outputs vary and should be reviewed before publication.
